Unhappy Bye Bye pprune

well it's time to leave the party. Pprune used to be a place to gossip and blah about rumours on an friendly aviation forum. Now it seems to be patrolled by industry and management all trying to get the latest from the shop floor or worse the press, hungry for any gossip from the world of aviation. So Helibelly is saying adios to Pprune, a victim of it's own success.

You old curmudgeon KMS

Helibelly may not have posted much but he's been around a while and has given me a lot of support in my flying training.

So, farewell then

I hate to see someone as respected as you leave. I'm a new kid on the block and enjoy the forum more than any other website. I learn a lot here and enjoy the occasional humor and have made a couple of acquaintances. Like KMS said, if you get bored I hope you come back to join us. I'm sure I speak for a LOT of others when I say that we can always use some knowlege from those that have been there and done that.

Whirls did not mention his trousers being clean...does that mean he went for a flight with her at some time?

Exert your womanly ways with him Whirls...threaten to play the Banjo within earshot if he remains away...or get a chalk board and drag those six inch talons of yours along the thing until he relents and finds his way back.

Anyone that gets a Thumbs Up from Whirls needs to be amongst us here.

What, is this the boys' locker room? If he's garnered any of Whirl's affections he wouldn't tell us here would he? (would you, SASless?!)

Gents,

Whirls recently promised me with a premature death thus I give her a lot of sea room.

Heilbelly, I don't know what PPRuNe forums you've been cruising, but Rotorheads seems the same as it was when I first found it back in 2001 or so. Of course, so am I!

Is this a response to the "BBC/ENG post??" that you retracted??

Seems a shame to run off mate - we all have opinions.

The only thing I will say is that it is becoming increasingly common for others to work out who is writing behind the veil of anonymity. (somebody at work who knows someone read it and described who you work for)

That is why I gave up being anonymous..... (but I have had the boss ask me why I wrote what I did on PPRUNE )

Come back in - the waters lovely!

Perhaps Helibelly, has made some comment that has caused some self injury, or perhaps even worse!

Look - I didn't ask him to flounce off. Only showbiz types are supposed to do that. But he made an allegation that was just completely untrue, he then wrote another untrue allegation to someone. And, when you've invested your own hard cash in a business and work at it 80 hours a week, you cannot just sit back and see this stuff in print. I don't mind some joshing - but his allegations could have got myself and my company into deep water with authorities.
All I asked was that he retracted - which he has. (Although in a pretty mean way.)
That's my cover blown.
So I'm off too!
