Sorry for hijacking your forum guys, I am a scale modeller looking for pictures of the Bell 230, ut version or with retractable undercarriage.Currently building a 1.8m version with 23 cc petrol engine, if anyone can help I would be eternally grateful.ps if I could get a head on shot of the instrument panel that would be a bonus!
Thanks

Re: Modeller looking for Bell 230 pictures
Try http://www.airliners.net/search and look for the aircraft there. Typing the specifics in the blank "Keywords" box should do it.
Note that the images are copyright the photographer.
Hope it helps!

Re: Modeller looking for Bell 230 pictures
Tim,
I put together a printable control panel + overhead for a 60 sized 222 I'm building (on occasion, it's been a 5 year project so far.) I had to do it by piecing together various sections of panel photos I found. It's not the most accurate, but it'd take an expert to spot the inaccuracies.
If it's any use to you PM with your email address and I'll send you a copy. I've printed mine out on glossy paper and it looks great. You could go further and raise the dials from the panel using clear plastic overlay, painting round the gauge glass.
But then, I don't know if the 230 panel differs too much from the 222, but you could always use it as a starting point.
Regards,
Si

Be warned, only 36 Bell 230's built, and I have never seen two alike. Some have EFIS, some dont't, and other small such differences. Outside differences between the 222/230 are things like boom and vertical stabilizer size, engine intlets, engine cowlings, MR blade tips, and overall dimensions, also the nose of the 230 is a little longer.
