Geocities is very unreliable for hosting pictures.

You might want to try www.photobucket.com or similar.

I've seen the picture! Does that mean I'm going to have to be shot as a spy? If so, you're all coming with me. It was a black Jet Ranger-y thing. Might have been a Long Ranger; can't tell!

It was total black and the finish looked quite matt (eggshell almost!).

Cheers

Looks like an A or C model Kiowa, liberally decked out with antennae, with a wirecutter above the cabin and a disco ball IRCM on the boom. Whatever was under the rear fuselage has been photoshopped out, as has the sensor or IRCM above the cabin. No N number or mil designation visible, so you'll have to rely on someone recognizing the ship.

Seen it?

I'm off, I want nothing to do with this. You should NEVER tell them you have seen it. It doesn't exist.

Interesting

It is definately a 206 not a OH58 and it is black in color with no Reg numbers easily seen. If you enlarge the pic it looks as if the torpedo like appendage attached to the underside is actually a photochop of the pic, not an actual item on the ship. It does have quite a few anttenae glued to it but I can't identify them all anyway so it may be normal. There is also something just over the rear door like a hoist but I dont know if it is real or another photoshop addition. As far as who owns it.....I have no idea! It may be something done up for a movie?

Darn I gotta type faster..Ian beat me to it!!

Its obviously a training aircraft for fixed-wing pilots, who are trying to defect to the rotorwing world....

...you can tell by the large idiot-proof arrow attached to the nose to tell them which way to fly and the 'danger' sign on the tailboom to warn the public to keep clear.

Come on flint4xx, fess up.

Where did you obtain this photo from????....I smell a rat.

Civil not Military
Headsets not Helmets
Strange solid aerials, mounted on soft parts of the structure [Tail drive cover].
Inspection opening at forward end of the tail cone, fitting strangely [This is a structural panel.]
Strange tubular frame in the RHS
No Range Extender.
Never seen B206 Door Handles like that??...has anyone?

About to say it’s a Hoax…a Photoshop extraordinaire……not sure just now....sitting on the fence.

They say the Devil casts no shadow. Black. The Devil's Colour. OK, I know, not strictly a colour but allow me a little dramatic licence.

Cheers

It was sent to me by a friend. Says it was flying around after Katrina. Is that the deck of a ship?

Oh my Lawd Micky, there's me thinking it's just the Devil's WOrk but.... this could be worse. The spy ship theory was interesting but sentient beings? ..... be afraid, be very afraid!

Cheers

The location may be accurate. If you look just below the vertical fin you can see what looks like a HH65 Dolphin in USCG orange flying in the distance.

No, that's the fuel filler cap.

Max - Good eyes.

Digging a little further, I've found a picture of the same helicopter hovering above the Louisiana superdome, originally posted by the Associated Press (weblink now deleted). It had a fairly innocent-looking white EO or IR turret under the rear fuselage and an additional blade antenna under the boom.

Gotta go - a black Crown Vic has just pulled up to my door...
