Red face Los Angeles County Fire 205A-1s

LA County Fire have retired their last two Bell 205A-1s from operational service. After 30 years. .of faithful service the two helicopters "copter 14" and "copter 15" will be sold at auction next week.

Now LACFD operstes four 412s ,one 206B and two S-70 Firehawks.

The Hueys will be missed and they happen to be the last LA City or County fire 205s operated by either fire dept..

Question

To: Larry

You seem to have a great deal of interest in the LA City and LA County Fire Department helicopters. If you are interested in getting models of the Bell-412s used by the two departments please contact me via Email. My source also has a similar model of the Miami-Dade 412-fire copter.

I have all three and they fit very well into my collection of helicopter models.

Lu. . Got both the LARD and LACFD,i live about 3 miles from the place they are sold. Actually i don`t like the metro-dade but hope to get a NYPD 412 if they ever release one.

For anyone thats interested they are fine models and worth every penny.

Hi, I'm kind of surprised because i'm very interested about LACOFD air operations. Although I think I'll never make it I'm applying for a job there, but I'm convinced there are lots of people with better curriculums.. .It would be great if some of you guys can tell me more about the unit, the job, duty time and all that.. .You can mail me at [email protected] . .Thanks in advance for the advice and information.. .Buen vuelo
