Post Cool Erickson S-64F pic

N178AC started life as a 1970 Army CH-54B Tarhe. Sikorsky developed a civil version S-64F "Skycrane" in the early 1970s but never actually produced any civil S-64Fs. When Erickson-Aircrane bought the S-64E/F type certificates in 1992 it allowed them to convert CH-54Bs to civil S-64Fs. Erickson now has 7 S-64Fs in service. The F can lift 25,000lb or 2500 gallons of water and has uprated 5000hp engines.
I took this pic during the Hopper fire in Ventura County Calif. during August 1997.

Skip,

179AC "Elvis" is sitting outside our hangar again, cluttering up the place

Maybe if you put your website in your profile, others may be able to link to your site & see all the pictures that you have there.

Cheers,

John
