cyclicmicky: I was born in Lanzarote and sadly there is no R22 on the island , but I think a company is offering sightseeing flights around the island in a AS350 http://www.helitourservice.com/

I'm sure you will enjoy the visit it's the best of Canary Islands

Best regards.

Oh, and Micky the wine there has its own sweet and unique flavour - well worth a visit to the mountian vinyards to free sample the wares !!

Aser ...the restaurant is called the Lagomar, it is between Tahiche and Teguise at a small place called Nazaret.
Have booked for wednesday lunch "an extraoardinary setting carved into cliffs and connected to the ground by a tunnel and steps, with gardens a lake and walkways. Imaginative meat, fish and vegetarian dishes"
One has just had a gorgeous tuna and anchovy salad with tomatoes, haricot beans and eggs...superb!!

Highly recommend the Island for all the diversity you get. Amazing volcanic area in the national park and the beaches live up to expectations The resterante at the top is an engineering marval. The water (sea)is cold though. But I missed out on the heli tour in April this year as the only day they could do was departure day and the slots were too tight. But the a/c departure gave an insite into what you will see from a trip. Truly the most spectacular sights even for a hardened geologist who rarely gets excited any more by those sights.

Have a fantastic time and try and Island hop if you have time, go on the cattermaran and see the dolphins, Something to tell your friends and family about for years to come
