professional help?
I am looking at training in either usa,canada,australia or uk, can anyone give me any info on schools in these areas.I understand about the different licenses and am prepared to work in which ever country I train in and as you can proberly understand money is a big issue.It will also take much longer in this country through the modular route compared to overseas.I understand this and if anyone can give me good reasons/info to train in this country then I would rather do that.I am just so confused and have started to go round in circles.Please Help

Depends a bit where you want to end up. If it is or may be the UK, then you have the problem that the CAA effectively does not recognise anyone else's licences (except in theory other JAA states). Even if you go to the CAA with lots of experience and an ICAO ATPL(H)they require you to jump through most of their technical knowledge hoops and do flight tests. Even if you go elsewhere to start, if you want to end up in the UK it will be hard work to convert.

jeff ,before you jump on the foreign band wagon think about where you want to end up working ,a FAA licence is all very well in the states,canadian licence seems cheap - if you want to live in the middle of nowhere on a logging job.
Even to get a JAR licence in the states you will not get the contacts in the UK if you want to return to uk to work
It is worth looking locally as well !!

I agree with the above. Why put up with the awfull weather here whaern you could be training and hoursbuilding overseas. BUT the licence issue authority is king! The FAA is worth didly over here!
