Bear in mind you have got to live within 45 mins of Shoreham and the price of property there is alarming!

Brighton can't be more than half an hour away.

Mmmm, I have some very good friends who live in Brighton! I wonder if they would be able to fit me in

Or at least let me camp out a bit there!!
In their backyard of course !!

"Starting salary for a UK police pilot." As always TC you are having a laugh

The majority of UK police pilots dream of earning those kind of figures As for benefits, non existant for contract pilots even if they have been at the same ASU for many years.

The problem - and it is an ever increasing one - is the finite number of pilots. Especially when nations prefer to attract pilots exclusively from their own 'pot' ....

Many rotary types are being attracted to the higher rates with the ever growing number of airlines and that will exert greater fiscal pressures on police/emergency services pilot remuneration.

You may not be in the stratophere bracket now but the pressure is certainly up. Unless the nationality and training/experience barriers are lowered a little.... but that may only delay the rise.

Ease the Nationality barrier just a little bit would you....got the experience, training, and licensing part covered. My alternative plan is to hang around laundromats chatting to the dhoby women till I find a wife.

Hey Whirls....that gives me an idea!

When I stop around your place to get the crabs.....maybe we can discuss it.

Oh, you've gone and done it now Jayteeto! He only does it to wind up the hard-working Chief Pilots of non-directly employed units... works every time!

Most of the directly employed Units couldn't pay me enough to work for them.

PDRs... forgot about that. I could note that I now know how to align a satellite dish, my cooking has improved ten-fold and I am getting to be an expert at upsetting the managment with my car parking. Can I have my bonus for that???

Nothing that wasn't plain for all to see at Redhill Airshow - and Flying Lawyer was with us! Although according to another thread, they are indistinguishable

... but we digress...

we should be having a pop at HR/Personnel/Fluffy Departments!! Takes the heat off accountants not paying enough!

Cheers
