Mmmm...

Not a problem ....

Please bare in mind that an application to ADA via the Internet will usually take ages to get a reply (if ever).

I think you need some more tiime

Everything I have come across single engine is 1500TT, 500hrs turbine. You need some more time. (preferably B206, AS350 or EC 130) Have you considered the Gulf of Mexico? PHI might be a good start.

Good luck, this is a tuff industry to break into.

Keep at it!

Yet more questions I am afraid.
I am looking for contacts for the rumored UAE Police pilots requirement, have those positions been filled already?
I am rated in both the 139 and the 412.
Regards.

Hi there, looks like a new bunch of guys in GHC photo's on their website. allways a reasonable company to work for, Qatar not nearly so scenic as PNG though.
They were supposed to move sometime back from the old airport in Doha to somewhere north of the town, dunno if that ever came off or whether or not the accomodation would move.
Married accom is good quality compound with good amenities, town has everything a person would ever need, climate is sometimes unbearable in the hot season. dont know how they accom batchelor staus guys, again, it used to be good quality flats.if you were base or whatever if you were on desert dets.
try it, it might be for you.
PM me for heaps of info

Gulf Helicopters

I have only been there a few months and have just gone about and done what has been asked of me.
Great bunch of guys here and life seems to be pretty much as expected if you tour.
You have decent enough accommodation, the flying is pretty straight forward and you get paid for it.
Some may say that ADA makes more but as one Captain was saying to me, the bits a pieces, i.e schooling, housing and tickets home make up for the money ADA make.
Simply life here in Doha. Qatari's drive like a drunk Lewis Hamilton but that was how Dubai was 15 years ago. No pork which is a pain but no biggy!
Getting hot right now and only going to get hotter!
We have been told by management that we can go get summer suits made. Lighter cotton flight suits, and also we have hydration drinks available to us, so someone is thinking about the pilots!!
I like it at GHC. Doha will take a little getting used to after the UAE but there you go.

Could someone give a rough figure that Gulf Helicopter are paying co-pilots with FAA CPL(H)IR.

Also, what are the living conditions and the work schedule like if your spouse lives there with you?

Question Gulf Helicopters

Hi All,

Anyone out there know what's happening at Gulf Helicopters? I hear they are recruiting and expanding, any truth to the rumour?

Also, anyone know who would be the best person to contact over there? I've tried the application form on the website several times but hit a dead end.

Cheers,

It's been a few years since I worked there. It sucked then but it could be better now.

Call John Toon the chief pilot for the inside scoop. Phone number is on the website.

FAS headhunter greystone joker

Anyone seen this??

Greystone has a requirement to fill positions immediately. We require 4 Bell 412 Captains in country by 14 July along with 1 Co-Pilot. We will also require 1 Co-pilot by 26 July. All pilots will occupy the Co-Pilot positions until they obtain a UAE GCAA license and fulfill training requirements. The timeframe to complete these requirements is usually two weeks. Other positions will open up very soon.

Below is a synopsis of the contract for your review:

1. Primary role is to support offshore operations within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
2. Salary package is the following:
a. Bell 412 Captain (Touring on a 56/28 or 42/42) is AED 1619.20 ($440) per day. AED rate is 3.68 to $1.
b. Bell 412 Co-Pilot (Touring on a 56/28 or 42/42) is AED 1,288 ($350) per day. AED rate is 3.68 to $1....(the rest is standard)

I don't think so

Thought you should know

Does this PAW/BW/XE guy think we just fell off the turnip truck??
