I got pretty frustrated with FAS. I have been in contact numerous times about a job and everytime it seems like a "win win" situation with the promised "I will call you in just over a week blah blah blah....thanks for calling! Great to hear from you blah blah blah....." Never once got a phone call or returned email despite having a pretty good chat each time I called. I cant be fecked wasteing my time, so have taken a pretty good job back home. At least I can go duck shooting this year!!

You need a UAE licence, but you will get an exchange for an ICAO one (including JAA) by taking the "new" law exam which is allegedly JAA like.
They operate under CAR OPS in the UAE, which is a direct clone of JAR OPS except for one or two paragraphs.

Bet he wishes that was true- I was talking to the ex-chief aircrewman today and he certainly does NOT have a contract with ADA-FAS can clarify that just give them a call or send an email maybe C4 can clarify this matter

Hello all,
I'm new here, but I'm quite interested in a contract job in the Gulf. Can't go over there full time, as my wife has an excellent job here that it's taken her years to get...but a 6/6, or 56/28, or just about anything else that's reasonable would be fine.
I've got a bit over 3,600 hours in helicopters, 3,500 of that as PIC. I've got some twin time in BK117's and BO105's. I don't mind working my way up, as I'm sure that I can demonstrate that hiring me was a good idea, but I don't have offshore time. Can I get an outfit in the Gulf to accept that my experience landing at unimproved accident sites in the dark and tiny hospital helipads is applicable?
If so, to whom should I be applying? Thanks in advance!
