Perhaps slightly more adrealin-einducing was this incident to G-LOGO.

Yes - quite a surprise just how much turbulence can be generated from somehting realtively small such as an A319.
Have a look at the GPS plot - showing G-LOGO flying a dead straight line and the A319 flying an odd track (or is it just the way I looked at it)

i was the one that just got out of G logo the chief helicopter pilot up in the heavens smiled on me that day
when i saw the photo of the accident my side was very badly squashed and damaged, the pilot said to me that if i had not got out of the aircraft before the accident he would have been so close to me he would be able to kiss me ,i replied if i was still alive i would have let him
alls well pilot ok

From the report, I think the A319 was flying an ILS, which may account for the wibbly track if the handling pilot's having an off day.

MD 600 - nyou were rather luck as was the pilot! Saw the pics and immediately thought G-LEGO! - at least the pilot laughed! (think he was glad that he could!) Seriously tho he was lucky to be able to walk away from that one!

They've taken the November pages away again - I just tried to look at them. Daresay they'll be back in a couple of days, but will they have the same URL? If they haven't, I'll post the link in my usual style. Aythangyew.

Pat - if you use IE browser and "subscribe" to the AAIB page, your browser will automatically check for updates on a regular basis. I do this - and you'd be amazed how often the AAIB publishes something for a few hours and then withdraws it.
And sometimes they publish a "month" link which goes to nothing.
I think they must have a nervy IT dept.

They're back!
The first link, liberally commented on above, relates to the emergency landing of a Gazelle following a 'loud bang'.
The second refers to the 369's suspected wake turbulence encounter - the severe turbulence gave rise to a vibration which led the pilot to put it down PDQ - alas slightly too PDQ.
There's also a reference to a Bolkow incident, but that wasn't rotary. And it's still a quiet month.
