In the over 60 crowd I guess I can post something on this. Since I hope that some youngsters will read this I want to add something that I tell all the "new kids'.
You dont want to HAVE to be flying at my age. I do it now mainly for beer money and am fortunate that it also works for my employer to be part time.
MANY of the guys I see jump from helicopter company to company and some that are now my age can run a Resume/CV with over 15 companies in the last 20+ years. No problem with that except that they now have NO Retirement plan and no Guarantee of any Medical plan upon some kind of a retirement.
So, as I have said many times. Look down the road if you can so that someday you can kick back a bit and enjoy life.......Avoid the Fly till ya Die syndrome.

Arse from your Elbow

If there is a young pilot out there who doesn't want to listen or learn from those that have gone before then he doesn't know his arse from his elbow. If there is an old knacker, too, who thinks he knows it all, then he is in the same boat.
