Why not get an electric scale model.

You can can fly it around the office at lunch time.

A colleague and myself used to do that. We have a big office mind you!

Well squinty have a few large scale flying models, two of the graupner bo105, the second one is being built electric though the first one if fitted with a two stroke engine. Have some 1/32 scale models people have given me but those manufacturers scale desk top type have always greabbed my attention larger than ususal and cost a bit I am sure but so well worth it.

I've ordered a few from Martin at www.niceairplanes.com

Hand carved wooden models made to order in your choice of colour scheme, fit, load out, wheels up/down. Whatever you want.
Here's two of mine...

There is (or was) a place in the Sheraton Skyline Hotel next to Heathrow that big custom built plastic model at 1:32 scale. Plan your own colours and registration.

Yes, am aware of Len Mount, incredible aircraft second to none. The ones I have are from graupner in Germany, all costing a few grand a piece, but safe and relaible if you do check things reotinely. The oldest is now 15 years, well flown and to date no prangs.

Helicopter redeye, I think the company you were thinking of was executive display models, no longer resident at the Hotel on Bath Road, and they were unable to give me any information as to where they may have moved to. After a search I hpned the number fro them and got (no longer in use), I do remember his name was Alan and he was married to a foreign lady, I can only assume he has sold up and gone, but if thats what happened I'd expect a link to the current owner, think his wife was from the Phillipeans

You could always build your own....

If you want to engage in possibly the greatest test of your patience, you could always build your own model! This is a model I built of the Hughes OH-6D AHIP prototype that flew in 1981. The end result is far from perfect but it's about the only way to get a model of something as unique (or odd) as this. It is converted from an OH-6A kit and is in 1/72 scale, which means it is barely longer than the palm of your hand. Positively tiny when compared to the beautiful 1/4 scale models mentioned earlier.

Lu Zuckerman's aircraft collection

Hello, my name is Lyne .

I don't know how to do this, but I'm giving it a shut.
My father name was Lu Zuckerman and he used to chat here with you and before passing away in 2005 I was in contacts with some of you here . We have a aircraft collection that my Dad has and we would like to sell it but not to anyone because it is a rare collection and my Dad would want is collection to be with somebody that would appreciate the authenticity of it.
If you know anyone that wants to buy it or see it , please respond to me
Thank you
Lyne

Hello Lyne,

Lots of us remember your father and his contribution to this forum. Have you thought about loaning or selling the collection to an aviation/helicopter specific museum of some sort?

Regards,

B73

I think I remember that he or his family thought about it, to give it to a museum.
Lyne, why don't you post a few pictures? There are certainly some experts here who could give you an opinion.

Hi Lyne - Lu and I used to chat a lot privately - I even published his book! If there's anything I can do to help, PM me.

I've merged Lyne's new thread with the old thread started by Lu: note in post 56 that he had spent $14,000 with the one manufacturer, so that must be one heck of a collection
