Well a missing aircraft, a missing book, a missing pilot, a missing backup team...This is getting very odd, I mean you can maybe misplace one thing, but two, three, four items thats not bad luck but a case that calls for investigation.

Well I can say all is in hand.
I have spoken to my good friend Hercule Poirot. Who has nothing special on at the moment, he was popping on the Orient Express but Virgin Trains have snaffled the route. So we can expect some answers soon, he has a canny way of getting the truth...

where is the gyro?????

Funny old thing but the gyro is still in india. why would that be? how about this for a theory-leave said very expensive item where it is, away from prying eyes, loose bottle and slink back with loads of crap reasons why you could not go on, spend all they money (yours or otherwise....) , wait till heat is off, wrap up company and say ta ta to all depts, claim gyro is a write off, play the part of woulnded hero hoping that nobody notices you shot yourself in the foot, once heat has died down and company is nowt but a memory simply have some mug ship it back to uk and resume possesion. sorted!!!!! .Blah blah blah when i was, when i did, check me out, blah blah blah promote me.
Only thing is nobody will forget what a chump you were/are and the fact that a small stamp would totaly cover your flying envelope.

ML,

The thing about the autogyro for me is that I'm sure Magni would have something to say about it, because wasn't it going to be sold back to them?

I'm still amazed that nobody seems to have seen this aircraft apart from Barry, in it's unflyable state.

There must be either photos or a video with which to verify the condition of the aircraft.
Not for us here, but for valid and proper means.
There have been no mentions by anybody of seeing these or, (in truthfullness,) the aircraft itself wherever she may be.

From way earlier on in the thread;

"We hope to publish the epic story of his passage to India in the AAC Journal next summer."

That was supposed to be this summers edition. Anyone seen it?
There must be some 'finale' pics in the said article!

Living in hope,

SS

Assuming that ML's source(s) are reliable then something is starting to smell VERY fishy.

Cannot understand why someone within the GE setup doesn't make a credible statement and then all this could be laid to rest.

While you guys are 'fishing' around over the 'why's' and 'wherefors' of GE, maybe someone could enlighten me with any information gleaned as to this latest attempt we are hearing about ...

Well, you just can't make up this sort of stuff.

Channel 4, Scrapheap Challenge, 3 AAC officers, team named the 'Apache Warriors'.
http://www.channel4.com/4car/ontv/scrapheap/
http://www.channel4.com/4car/ontv/sc...ars/index.html
Apache Warriors

Ring-a-ding-ding-ding! The army boys Tom, Tobe and Oggs have landed and come oozing with charm, charisma and precision in a way only our top ranking military can. The banter is littered with innuendo; theirs is a cross between the school changing room and a Carry On film. Helicopter pilots by day, these boys are all guns blazing for a Scrapheap showdown!
Fair enough, game on and I hope they do well, honestly.

The best bit??????
What do they have to make?????

Preliminary A: Underwater Cars
Apache Warriors V The Powerlifters
In this first episode of a new series, Scrapheap is off to marvellous Margate where a team of forklifting fixers take on a crew of army helicopter heroes in a battle to build underwater cars that can rip up the ocean bed.

SS

Is autorot8 going to be speaking to Robert Llewellyn in his capacity of Underwater Vehicle expert? Lets see!!

Had to read it to see who has resurrected it.............

Heliport: is there the facility to downgrade this from 4* to 1* please?

Thanks for putting this thread back at the top TC.

If it's that dull, how did it make the tallies of 41,300 + views and 730 posts ?

At least TC thinks it is worth at least one star!!.
Many threads have none at all.

In order for this to have reached 4 star status and there being those like TC around, many others must think it worth 5+ stars!

For those who have enjoyed the journey so far, I salute you;

Well, as soon as 'Take That' announce a 'back together' tour, it seems as though reunions are a 'la mode'.

Nice to hear from missing lynx & E5 again and despite the comments, yes TC it is also nice to hear from you once more.

How about the 'proper team'?, what are they up to?

Just a thought but,
Anything come off the back of GE?
Is anyone in exile somewhere?

I have no control over the Star Rating system, just one vote like everyone else.

Greetings to you Volrider,

If 'Take That' are as successful at getting the group back together, then it looks like Robbie will be joining them on the tour after all

Vol, I think that your 'Superman' picture is TCs CC, the morning after the night before.

the book.....

our great wordsmith suffered yet another crushing blow. word has it that after months doing nothing else but think and write sombody else may have pipped him to the post and got their version of" the hungry caterpillar" out first and have taken out a patent on it and other such fairytales-blocking his efforts. it is also in the hands of his lawyers(big hands!) and legal action may follow, afterall he has no mortgage and can afford the legal costs, can you?
