I'm an Air Ambulance get me out of here
From BBC News
Bond wins cash for air ambulance
A Devon charity will be given about £100,000 thanks to BBC former Royal correspondent and Devon resident Jennie Bond.
Bond, 53, stuck it out to the bitter end in I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, coming second to ex-Atomic Kitten singer Kerry McFadden.
And she nominated the Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) as her chosen charity.
The cash windfall comes at a crucial time for the charity which will need an extra £300,000 each year to pay for a new helicopter.
Lyn Paver, DAA general manager, said: "When we heard Jennie had chosen us as her nominated charity, we were both delighted and honoured.
"We knew she could go all the way to the final.
"We do not know how much money has been raised at present, but are looking forward to saying a personal thank you to Jennie when she comes home.
"She has truly made a difference. and we are very proud of her."
