G - Registered UN heli ! ! !
Am I going mad?? But on the news just now they had a Bell 212 with the reg G-BALZ in UN markings, in the desert, in an article about UN weapons Inspectors.
OK you might say - but the G-INFO websote has that has a B212 belonging to Bristows in Aberdeen!
That must be a change from flying the rigs!!!!

The UN tends to charter all sorts of aircraft from all sorts of operators. They almost always need repainting because of the sort of work they do, so I am not surprised at your post.
I have seen a DHC-6 flying in UN colours that I had last seen when I was flying it in order to chuck skydivers out of the back!

Thanks.
I also saw an old UN Lear with a ZS reg last year at Sun City airport.
I just thought that they would have their own - hardly short of a bob or two!

And ask anyone who has flown for the UN how long it takes to get money out of them....
Not as if you can sue them for not paying is it?
I know of at least one operator who went broke from it.
