Can a commercial multi engine instrument rating test be taken on a DA42, given that it does not have the conventional six lever engine controls?

Yep. It’s the de riguer aircraft for the MEIR at most schools across the country. The 6 lever, should you progress onto it, is considered as differences training. Shame really because the Duchess is a delight to fly by comparison.
