I do recall seeing procedures in some European country that required DME for the RNAV (GNSS) missed approach, for reasons that I did not understand.

Regarding some European countries that require DME for the RNAV (GNSS) in the missed approach climb segment; this may be for the reason of meeting navigation redundancy requirements in the event of GNSS failure thereby allowing the system to continue the required track keeping accuracy in the missed approach flight path especially in mountainous region.
