If your approach chart contains the note "RNAV(GNSS AND DME/DME) and GNSS" Which sensor must you use to conduct this approach?

The title tells you DME/DME is also required for this GNSS approach.

Should have "or," not "and."

Could you provide the ICAO airport code and the runway?

This topic came up during one of our RNAV discussions. There was no particular airport chart referenced.

I do recall seeing procedures in some European country that required DME for the RNAV (GNSS) missed approach, for reasons that I did not understand.

Beyond that, it beats me.

aterpster, found the P-RNAV Departure out of Toulouse (LFBO) that has RNAV(GNSS and DME/DME) and GNSS required.

Regarding some European countries that require DME for the RNAV (GNSS) in the missed approach climb segment; this may be for the reason of meeting navigation redundancy requirements in the event of GNSS failure thereby allowing the system to continue the required track keeping accuracy in the missed approach flight path especially in mountainous region.
