Russian Language questions...
Hi,
I am taking part in a ferry flight stopping in UHMM Sokol, Russia (near to Magadan).
I am unsure of the level of English spoken there, particularly as there are no foreign airlines operating there. However it is winter, so I can expect to possibly need to deice and antiice.
Could anyone direct me where to find some basic phraseology such as deicing fluid type (1,2,3,4) and mixture ratio?
Thanks!

Many technical words are phonetically the same in Russian as in English, just written in Cyrillic.
It is not that hard to learn the alphabet and be able to sound out words phonetically - at least then you can read the words on the trucks when they turn up and have some understanding of what's occurring.
Deicing? Russia? It's so cold, the snow just blows off the wing when you approach V1...

Print this out and hand it to the appropriate individual.
Пожалуйста Противообледенительная обработка самолета
And when you finish show him/her this Спасибо
However, my experience in Russia is that I have always found someone with suffiient English to get by.
