Britannia Operations
Just a few points I am unsure of in the TUI 'plan' - can anyone help?
How far does the consolidation of the TUI airlines to Hannover go?
Are Britannia ops being moved from Luton?
What will happen to the Britannia maintenenance here in the UK?
Will Britannia essentially become a German airline operating with British staff in Britain?
Are there any plans to consolidate the cabin service being provided on BY/Neos/Hapag Lloyd etc? ie. will 360 disappear?
Thanks very much

All operations departments, with the exception of crewing, will move to Hanover from November 2002.
Britannia maintenance is remaining in the UK, over winter 2001-02 most of Hapag Lloyd's 737s were checked at Luton.
Contrary to the views of Britannia management, Britannia will gradually become very Germanified. There is a long way to go down the integration road between Britannia and Hapag Lloyd.
360 has already gone, any 360 branded goods remaining are just being used up. All cabin consumables now have the Tui smile. The cabin interior will follow when the design is finalised.

Thanks for that. So the Hapag Lloyd, Neos an BY interior cabin brands will all be the same? Do you know when they are going to paint some more of their 757's?
Thanks

Under the "concept" of The World of Tui masterbrand, the interiors should be the same with small differences for each marketplace perhaps.
As for Britannia painting more of the 757s, after September 11 the painting plan was slowed. All are planned to be completed by the end of 2003, however there could well be a fleet replacement underway before then.
