Should Go keep it's identity?

easyJet and Go have distinct brands and identities, appealing to different segments of the low cost market.

Undoubtably the easyJet brand is stronger and more widely
recognized.

If and when easyJet buys Go:-

Do you think Go should retain it's brand and image seperately, whilst still part of the easyJet group?

In what way are they different?

The average punter thinks I want a cheap ticket. I check out the websites of Go, Easy, Ryanair or whatever.

Don't care whether the airline is run by a Greek man, an Irishman or an American.

The one with the cheapest available seat gets my business.

Branding is over rated.

Gin

Branding is what get's you onto the website in the first place! Then you can make your choice.

"Should GO keep it's identity?"

It's a TAKE OVER there is only one brand, no one who is trying to keep their costs down runs two brands!

Having been a passenger on all of the 4 low cost airlines Go was by far the best. My experience can not be unique so keeping the brand would be a good idea, but they are not going to do it. You only have to watch 'Airline' to see what many of easy's passengers think of them. You didn't find that with Go.
