BA's 737 Fleet replacement?

Hi all

Just curious as to the current news on the grapevine re BA's 737 fleet replacement. I have heard a few rumblings about Embraer and Airbus. Are their remaining 737's leased or owned?

The only aircraft that BA actaully own are about 5 777's, the rest are all leased.

If it's the 737-400 fleet that was the backbone of EOG I wonder if BA have an appetite to replace them?

EZY and Flybe have a large presence at Gatwick and BA's commitment to LGW has traditionally been weak.

Will they roll over and leave just the long haul fleet their?
