A question of wind ?
Can anyone remind me what a Bohr wind is ? (or however you spell it !)
I need to know for an interview and I have lost all my ATPL notes many years ago !
Thanks in advance.

Never come across a Bohr wind, perhaps you mean Bohorok or Bora.
The Bohorok is a Foehn-type wind that blows across the North-East backbone of Sumatra during the Monsoon of SE asia between May and September.
The Bora is a strong E to NE katabatic wind which occurs along the Adriatic coast of the Balkans.
It`s caused by persistent high pressure over Central and Eastern Europe in winter and spring which causes a cold pool of air to build up over the Balkans.
This eventually breaks through the various mountain passes that lie along the mountain barrier and sweeps westward to the coast.
There is more but I hope this is enough to be going on with.
Best of luck <img src="rolleyes.gif" border="0"> <img src="rolleyes.gif" border="0">
