UK retirement age

With the government announcing today an increase in UK state pension age to 66 by 2020, the question is will the regulatory authorities follow suit, and allow professional pilots to continue work until the same age? I guess if they do the much mooted retirement bulge will vanish into thin air once more.

If they do not, then what happens from 65-66. Surely not back to McDonalds where most of us are rumoured to have started our careers.

Same as what happens to a 60 year old single pilot!
