Cabotage regulations Europe?

Question: Is a small EU AOC operator , operating aircraft below 5700 kg commercially, with a EU registered aircraft, allowed to operate commercially within the same country ( domestic) in Europe??
....like ,the aircraft is in Geneva, a broker gives you a flight to go to Zurich and bring Swiss pax back to Geneva...
....or...the aircraft is in Nice, and will bring French Pax to Paris???

Question: Where on the Internet do I find the regulations about this subject?

Within the EU, there is complete freedom for EU AOC holders as regards routes. This has been so since about the 1990s, when the EU introduced the "Package 3" of regulatory reform and abolished the need for route licences within the EU for EU-based operators.

However, for your specific question: Switzerland is not an EU country. I am unsure whether the Swiss chose to join Package 3: if they did not, then you pesumably still need a route licence to operate between any Swiss airport and any EU destination, regardless of state of registry.

Are you talking a scheduled service or ad hoc charter? The rules are likely to be different. I'm not disagreeing with kenparry, just adding a dimension, especially if it involves Switzerland or other non EU countries.

Some relevant information and references here. Your choice of Switzerland as the example complicates the question (just as a Norwegian example would) and I don't know the answer. But hopefully the info at the link above will serve as a good starting point for further research.

Got the answer. Charters in and out of Swiss=OK, but to accept charters within Switzerland = NO-no!
