Weather Book Recommendations

Hi All
Have just purchased an excellent weather station for the garden and am now looking for a good all round book on the weather. Having worked in ops for more years than I care to mention I have a solid background knowledge on which I would like to build.

That said, not really after ATPL manuals. All thoughts appreciated.
Ta !

I just bought one recently as well, great piece of kit. I know you can still download the US manual 'Aviation Weather', not to be confused with Aviation Weather Services. Although aimed at aviation, its well illustrated and gives an excellent appreciation of weather in general, unfortunately the online .pdf isn't the best- the book however is.

See here:
AC 00-6A Aviation Weather For Pilots and Flight Operations Personnel

But there is a vast wealth of knowledge on the web as well:

BBC BBC - Weather Centre - Features - Understanding Weather Features

Also the Met Office website here, their Fact Sheets are good, the last one #17 is on weather stations and observations:

Met Office: Fact sheets

La Crosse. Its doing well, I did however find it took a bit of time for the barometer and barograph to settle down after calibration for my elevation. But all is steady now.
