NITS brief
Hi all, I need some help on how to interpret the TEST emergency briefing.
Most of us know the NITS brief:
N Nature
I ntentions
T ime
S pecials (Security)
Now there is another one: TEST
T ime avilable
E mergency (type)
S ignals conventioned
T ransmit additional instructions
What does 'Signals conventioned' really mean? Is it the same as the 'Intentions' part of the NITS?

Are you cabin crew? I've not come across TEST before. We use NITSS in our company...
N - Nature of the problem;
I - Intentions of the FD crew;
T - Time available (before landing/to secure the cabin/etc.);
S - Signals (i.e. will we use anything other than conventioanl signals to the crew?);
S - Special cicumstances (e.g. if we're not going to be able to vacate the runway).
The S bit of TEST sounds the same as the first S in NITSS i.e. will we be using normal, conventional signals to communicate with the crew or will there will different or additional signals e.g. "Cabin crew, take your seats for landing." and "Brace, brace" in the case of a planned emergency landing.

S - Specials. May include information such as:
Possibility of an evacuation after landing,
Emergency or normal landing (brace call?)
Fire truck/paramedic attendance
different approach attitude (will seem a bit unusual)
etc.....

i would like to know onboard fire drills
Number ONE priority, inform the flight deck crew.
Number two, follow laid down instructions, as amended by said FD crew.
Our Flight Engineer will see to the remaining potential problems.
No Flight Engineer?

real evacuation videos-links,etc
i had an incident, flying twin otter couple of months ago via ended up embedding one wing, making a trauma with a big slewing action, but we manage to save all the passengers.
i did not know what really happened .
i would like to know whether there is special drill for un-planned evacuation.
