Centralwings evacuation at EPWA

TVN24: malfunction of landing gear indicator.

What do you think about this situation? Is there any reason for concern?

Regards

Cause for concern

By all accounts just an indication problem with landing gear down and locked indication. Followed full emergency procedures, problem? What problem?

Centralings, part of the Polish LOT group and one of the rapidly progressive band of lowcost carriers. Maintenance I believe conducted by LOT.

News reports say that the aircraft landed safely. Was it really necessary to go ahead with a full evacuation if none of the L/G had actually collapsed?

Just found the answer...

Passengers said once the plane came to a stop the cabin started to fill
with smoke.

Read above, after the landing, the cabin filled with smoke, hence the evacuation
