Logbook software

Hoping someone can help.
For several years I have kept a computerised logbook running alongside my paper one. I find it invaluable for keeping an eye on duty hours etc, and of course for a quick total of hours when needed as well as a handy back up.
I have just switched form a P.C to a MacBook and unfortunately the software I use (SkyLog Pro) is for windows only.
Does anyone know of a similar programme that runs on Mac's. I really like the layout and features of SkyLog as it is very easy to use.
Thanks

Another option would be to get Windows for Mac (whatever the product is called), then all of your old Windows stuff would still work.....

Have you tried www.myweblog.se?
I don't intend to do any hidden advertisment, but it's really good stuff.
Gives you heaps of info you never ever thought you would want to know...

dunno why people get exited about logbook software, when if you know what you are doing with MS Excell you can design yourself a perfectly acceptable electronic log book with all the right headings, summings of hours, etc.
Or is there something else that dedicated logbook software can do that excell cant? Enlighten me, am I missing something!

Badboy; Of course you're right - an electronic logbook can not suit every pilots needs. However - a great number of pilots like to use them for easy logging, automatic summaries etc. as well as for "useless-but-fun" statistics. Unlike Excel, myWebLog can also be accessed from any computer with internet access (I'm really not trying to advertise here).

Excel can do almost everything the other logbooks can, but why invent the wheel again? Most of the software out there are ready to use or easily reconfigurable to fit your needs. If there is something you want to add/change you can always write an email to the developer/s. In most cases they'll listen to you!

Blue skies!

Best regards,

MS Excel vs. Open Office Calc

AFAIK Excel only can calculate up to 9.999:59 hours.
Open office calc makes more then 20.000:00 hours.
OPEN OFFICE is free !! and works also on Windows.
The bad thing is that to less people use open office.

Always happy landings

www.pilotlog.co.uk is worth a look. It's web based so can be viewed via any browser and should be ok on your mac. Been using it for a year after evaluating various other programmes.
