Ferry flights

Hi all,

I have been asked to ferry an airplane from A to B. It is a fairly short flight (5hrs). The company asked me to find a full crew and how much I want for it.

So my question: How much would you charge ?

Are there other things like insurance, hotel, transport and return tickets that you would ask for or should that all be incl. in one payment?

Any advise is much appreciated.

From where to where? how is the shape of the plane. does it have enough fuel and who is paying for it? these are all factors in your "fee".
Most defineatly have tickets to and from, 1st class.
you can set a fee for your travel days and then have a seperate fee for the flight. what kind of plane?
over water, over desert, war zone?
Remember, there is always someone willing to do it cheaper, but don't sell your self short , don't be greedy, be fair.

Don't forget about insurance, flight plans, enroute handling, overflights, landing permits. All this needs to be done. My suggestion is hand it to someone who does it professionally, because I think it's maybe too much for one person to arrange.

Thanks for the tips. Handling, fuel and all flight plans will be done by the company. Acft is a cat D airplane from Europe to the ME. It comes fresh out of a C check. Travel and hotac have been arranged. It´s a start up company with their own crews not yet qualified.

Insurance is and is still to be discussed. We´re looking at a two maybe three day trip (incl. travel from - to).

I talked to some collegues with more experience in this subject and got we put together a reasonable offer. Waiting for the beancounters answer now.

Thanks again!
