ATPL 3400TT, now what?
Hello,
I am between a rock and a hard place. I hold the canadian ATPL and have appr. 3400h TT (1000 on Cheyenne) and would like to fly in either the far or middle East. Unfortunately I haven't got experience or a type rating on neither Boeing nor Airbus.
What carriers are currently looking at non-rated guys with my type of hours. Would it be worth investing in a type rating? I know of the pros and cons and do not wish to start arguments, but I am not certain which route to go.
Your advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hey....
I don't know if they will approve your canadian lincens, but try to check out Star air.
One of earlier ATPL instructors is a capt. in Star air. He is also interviewing. He says that they expect to hire about 30 pilots every year for the next 3-4 years. (but that's what they say)
I know the company prefer pilots who have worked their way up rather than having paid for a rating.
Not sure of their req. but I know from 1000 TT
They are flying b767.
Another one you could try is Cimber air, flying ATR and CRJ 200. They req. 500TT
Both will pay your rating.
hope you can use it, though the companies are in europe.
