Seen a few people asking about replies. I messaged on facebook about no reply and was told straight away that the messaging system on the website is down with tech issues. They told me to email the marketing manager which I think the link for his email is below the boxes you type in anyways! Hope this helps with that.
Out of interest, I'm studying with CAPT in the UK but am intent on doing my exams in Poland next year. Does anyone have any experience registering with the Polish CAA and best way to contact them ? Cheers! |
I'd also be interested to hear more about doing the ATPL course through Bartolini.
The price certainly is good, and they do use the Bristol Ground School materials which I've heard nothing but good things about. Poland is also much cheaper than the UK to sit the exams. I do wonder though about the ground school/ revision element of the course. I think I'd prefer to do it the Bristol way splitting the course into three separate parts (or at least two) rather than Bartolini's study everything and then do revision for all fourteen subjects in two weeks. How does this work? Also, when do people sit the exams? I presume they don't do all fourteen of them in one go. |
The idea of Bartolini+BGS courses is more: classrooms are required by regulations but it is your duty to learn subjects at home and just ask some questions during classroom
Exam sit is also up to you: there are very few genious who did all in one sit but generally people prefers do it within 4-5 sits. I did it in 2 sits, it was difficult but doable. My classmates made it generally in 3-5 sits |

Is it possible to do very well just using the Bristol GS course and question bank? Also, how would you describe the pass rate of Bartolini students? Do most people pass all exams first time? I guess my worry is that I've been out of the habit of studying for so long, I'll need all the help I can get! :eek: |
Bartolini is good but this fact that you have to wait 6 months before the exams is boring.

edhelms, how you can do about 650 hours of learning in shorter period than 5,5 months? Due to this legal restriction, ATPL course cannot be shorter. (I cannot tell you why it isn't 5 or 6 months but 5.5 for Bartolini)
Do you know any school where you can enter now and start ATPL exams in much shorter time? How they declare these 650 hours for an authority? RedDragonFlyer, I did my exams thanks to aviation exams app on iPad but my integral knowledge is acquired from Bristol (and some old Oxford books). It was enough for me No, there are someone resitting exams but it is not Bartolini's fault (or another school), in my opinion. |
RomanK, in the UK you can start after you have completed each module of subjects...Anyway, Do you know if in Poland it is allowed to use the calculator during the exams?

At least you can bring your simple calculator (without memory) and they provide as well some scientific calculators and flight computers

I am looking at Bartolini for my ATPL theory. Does anyone have any comments on that school? Easy or hard? is it expensive? they aren't responding to my inquiries. Also, where is the cheapest place to convert a FAA CPL ME-IR to EASA F-ATP in Europe? Thanks

Bartolini air has a good reputation and I haven't heard any complaining other than the usual (weather and sometimes aircraft availability).
You should be ok with them. |
With the ATPL Theory in distance learning you are on your own, with the exception of the class time. The results will only depend on your commitment, and some people had to quit distance learning and sign up to a full time ground school course. Not just at Bartolini, also at Bristol GS. I know one individual myself.

I am still debating whether I should do online or classroom. I can do online but I am worried that all my FAA knowledge won't be enough for the easa theory. I am a hard working person but I just don't want to regret taking it online. I am desperately looking for a FAA CPL holder that did this conversion so that I can know what they faced experience wise. Does Bartolini do the whole CPL ME-IR conversion or just the theory?Thanks again to all.
