When I did mine in April 2002 it was at the Glasgow College of Nautical Stidies. Walking distance from the station (just) and on the other side of the river. It's in a part of town called the Gorbells. Can't remember the exact address though - sorry.

As at Jan 2003 they were running the exams in the Adelphi Centre and not in the actual college. To get there, go out of the main gates to the road, turn LEFT and walk along until you see the Gorbals Leisure Centre (swimming pool). It is right behind there. It is about 3 minutes on foot.
