Well, I am suprised at the number of you who knock a company like Emerald, probably without ever having been there.
I worked for Emerald for two and a half years and got my first command there. You couldn't ask for a better break into flying turboprops. The a/c may be old but they are well maintained, built like the proverbials and when I was there only a few had autopilots and most had instruments dating back to WWII but you learnt to fly heavy turboprops on short sectors, hand flying down to minima in crappy weather.
Overall pay was average for the type of flying and there were a few nightstops (daystops) which accrued flight duty pay. The crews were all a great bunch and many of them are still there today.
Any wannabe who gets an offer to move on to the HS748 could do a lot worse and can rest assured that they will accrue experience that will serve them well later on in their careers. Hone up your IR flying skills as you will probably be doing a lot of hand flying in the dark and often in marginal weather.
CreepMark, howya doin? Still on the A300 then? Not seen you since I brought you back from Puerto Vallarta.
