Hi,
I am currently 19 and will be starting OATS in december (the groundschool). I already have my PPL and about 70hrs, hopefully i will get around 150 by the time i start OATS, so then i can carry on straight into the flying once all the exams are done, fingers crossed!
I just wondered about the age that employers will look at or does it not really matter? i'll be around 21-22 when i finsh is this a good age for a prospective employer consdiering I will onyl have about 250hrs?
Thanks

I was in the same position as you about a year and a half ago, and am now shortly to finish at OATS.
I was told at that time that companys would be looking at people of my age keenly, whether thats the case, I'll find out in a few months!! I think some companys are keen are keen to take on young capable pilots as they hope they can be of long term benefit to the company rather than slightly older persons who may want to leave as soon as a better paid job turns up. There are many ways to look at it.
There is no real definite answer but if you have the option of getting on with the course go for it. Best of luck and enjoy the course!
