Post OATS a general view- 64k for that!!!!!!

64k for a school who can't even clean there toilets! Don't believe all the marketing crap, it's true there is some good instructors but no better than the other main schools (And not as expensive)

You can pay as much as you like for air training and go to any school however nor Oxford or any other school can guarantee a job. OATS are using the fact they are in (near) Oxford and commanding high prices due to this, similar to what universities there do with oversea students.

I live close to OATS, I had a few lessons there and it's not particualry great, you have to wait for instructors due to over runs and the facilties are naff. People who get these massive loans are treading on thin ice, at the end of it all you might not get a job an be lumbered with a huge debt with interest mounting on it. Shop around and always have a backup plane. Not being negetive but several friends have gone down this road and not got there and been straddled with debt. I hope everyone success it what they do because if you don't try you'll never know.

I went to OATS, and it was great while I was there! It took me 1 year to find a job! 12 people on my course and four have jobs now, 2 years on!! The training is second to none, but the job seeking is up to you! 200 hours from Oxford is not what the airlines are looking for unless you're very lucky. If you are starting out though I don't think you could have a better "school" on your CV!!!

It is my belief that OATS is simply looking for ways to steal the lime-light from a certain Spanish based, rapidly growing, british flight training school, which is also getting very popular with various european airlines for sponsorship contracts. Many beieve that within a couple of years, OATs will no longer be Europes top flight training provider.

We will have to wait and see!

Like Miter Neil767, I live fairly near to OATS, and was very tempted by Oats; £48.5 sounded okay, but £53k sounded too much, and £63k sounded like a fist up the arse to me. Not a flying in hell.

All this crazy money pointed towards a £32.5k modular course.

UNLIKE SOME HERE I UNDERSTAND HOW EASILY IT IS TO GIVE OTHERS YOUR MONEY AND HOW ****ING HARD IT IS TO GET OTHERS TO GIVE YOU THEIRS.

Live long and prosper.
