The best thing is that down the pub you can say "...yeap, been there, done that.". .. .Girlies love it - whilst being a gentleman, one should never deliberately mislead, in this case I think it's acceptable to neglect to mention that it was a Warrior/C152 or whatever!. . . . [ 23 March 2002, 15:58: Message edited by: Gin Slinger ]

Penguina – god’s honest truth! I know it wouldn’t pull the wool over your eyes – obviously – you’re a PPRuNer after all.. .. .It’s a common misconception amongst non-aviation population in general that if you’re training to be a commercial pilot that they simply take you in off the street and plonk you in a 747 simulator for a month or two and then off you’re flying to JFK and back all the time.. .. .When I got my PPL I had all sorts of daft questions asked along the lines of “Do they let you land the plane?” or even “Have you been in the air yet?” – that was my favourite.. .. .So you can see how easily misunderstandings can occur...which of course every effort is made to put right!. . . . [ 28 March 2002, 17:47: Message edited by: Gin Slinger ]

Murray_NN well done!. .Mine was 4 years ago. I was actually glad my instructor left the plane and told me to go on my own, because this guy just wouldn't shut up during flight training. Tuned the adf into a nice radio station, and away was I. . .I remember in front of the airport restaurant about 2 dozen of bikers were enjoying the sun and a drink, and boy I felt 'my' warrior such a better machine than all those fireblades and ninja's together.. .Anyway, enjoy the rest of your training.
