Converting FAA PPL to JAR PPL

Does anybody know what the requirements are for converting a PPL gained in America to a UK PPL ?

JAA Class 2 medical, 100 hours as pilot of aeroplanes, pass the Air Law and the Human Performance & Limitations written exams, and pass the PPL skill test. If you need a UK RT licence then you need to do the written and oral exams.

That's right, you need to do the flight test and the written exams. But, as long as your FAA licence is valid, you are entitled to fly in the UK under day VFR without converting. That's what I'm doing until I become more familiar with UK airspace, procedures etc.
