Unhappy CAA Perf A Exams - extra exam date

It has been brought to my attention that, due to oversubscription, the CAA has decided to run an extra date for the last CAA Perf A exam. This will be on 11th June 2001. For anyone interested, the latest application date for this exam is 28th May 2001. If you miss this, you will need to take the JAA Perf A exam which, I am assured, is no more difficult. Best of luck!

Thumbs up

Ive been assured its easier..

Having just looked at some sample questions
and comparing the two I can say that the
JAA performance paper is more practical
and not 'monkey see monkey do.. ' which
I suspect the CAA Perf A is ?

What I mean is that the JAA are attempting to teach principles which can be extrapolated into application onto the myriad of types a pilot could be asked to operate.

The other exams (A,C,E) were more type specific and the Perf A seemed very dated

Dont know about the JAA perf A but I found the CAA version to be hardest of all the CAA TECH & NAVS(ATPL).

AW the aknolwleged Perf A guru , seems to think the JAA version is much easier than the CAA version.
