Cool

Greetings Blacknight,

Look forward to meeting you in April. I have been out here for what seems like an eternity (only 3 months really!) and have to say that on the whole there is not much to complain about.
The weather should be on the up by April so donīt forget to bring your hat and sun cream! You have made a good decision to come here as beer is cheap, the burdz are total honeys, weather is "the dogs" in summertime and the swimming pool is a god-send after a day in the classroom.

Any questions - just ask mate.

See ya,

VFE.

well apart from the one reply from someone who is already attending BAE SYSTEMS, it would seem there is nobody else doing this course with me. Unless they are coming in from another country. If there are only a few people on the course, can they put mine back, and what are the legalities of doing so???

Blacknight

Am urgently trying to raise cash to get onto april course, will keep you updated. However have also heard of [URL=http://www.airmed.es]airmed in Valencia which seems better value and am planning to visit them early Jan. Will keep you up dated.

VFE,

I do hope that when you say the burdz are honeys that you are including me in that!!! If so, then thanx, Ill take it as a compliment!!!

Jerez is fantastic. Took a bit of getting used to but it is great fun and there are some great people around. One or two good instructors too!!

To anyone considering coming out Id say you'd be hard pushed to find anywhere else quite like it.

What is very interesting in the usual back-biting bitchiness of the flying training world is that I don't think that I've ever read any complaints from students at BWoS Jerez! It does seem to be a very happy operation!

VFE, I know i've asked you this before but this goes to all in Jerez ...... where did you get the cash to do the integrated course??? Did you all save up for 20 years??? I'm considering going down the modular route simply because haven't got a clue where to get the cash from. I know some banks will give you the cash to do a course but didn't think they'd give you enough to go integrated.

It sounds like your all having far too much fun down in Spain so come on ....... let us know how you jumped the financial hurdle.

Cheers

VdG,

When I say one or two, I include in that each and every one of them who has had to endure the hardship of slogging it out with me and my course mates..... I'll bet they are all glad that our JARS are coming up and they'll soon get rid of us....

Although i started the topic initially it seems to have detracted slightly into how great the place is (which im not complaining about at all) however the purpose of the topic was tro determine who would be on the same course as I am or who is starting at similiar times. I personally am starting April 02

Dont mean to contradict you BillyFish 2 but there are certainly no more Air Malta Cadets lined up at all, all AM's pilot recruitment needs are more or less taken care of for the near future with the single class they have at the moment. I know, Im in their class! And as for class size, the most recent class to have started has a mere 6 students.

Jerez is something a bit special, not your average FTO by any means. Best of luck to all those counting the days until they start in April!

Adios

With regard to additional insurance as i mentioned on a previous thread, i spoke to Mary Jo at Jerez about the matter, and she explained to me that basically, BAE systems cover you insurance wise for while you are there doing all the flying and course related stuff, but of you decide to come in one night drunk and smash a window or go flying still drunk form the night before then that nullifys their insurance and you have to foot the bill

Hi blacknight/Rta,

I'm joining the 18th Feb course and can't wait. Look forward to meeting you and everyone else at Jerez.

Do any of the guys currently at Jerez know of a cheap car that may be coming available in the near future?

Bye

Fair enough GatportAirwick. It was a very vague (and obviously wrong!) recollection. Anyway what's the situation in Jerez like at the moment? Are their any new blocks of airline cadets going to start in the next few months?

Interesting to see a class as small as 6. Personally I wouldn't want to be in a class much smaller. Questions + feedback from fellow students are often invaluable.

Blacknight - thanks for your insurance info.

Hi all
Just been accepted for the Feb course at Jerez. Just wondering what travel arrangements you all have to get there.

Cheers
