Post Has anyone joined O2FO and got the manuals

Just wondering if anyone has joined this 02FO at www.becomeapilot.co.uk.

IF so, is it worth the £28 for the manuals or is it just the same old information presented in a new way?

Regarding the 'manuals':

I'd say get it if you're totally fresh to all this (as I was when I bought them 18 months).

If you've got a reasonable grasp of what's what then they're unlikely to tell you too much you could learn by PPRuNe-ing now and again.

Regarding 'membership' of the website, I found this of little use.

Bow5,

Opinions vary as to how much use the manuals are.

Personally I believe they saved me thousands and I had been an avid ppruner for ages before.

IMHO £28 versus thousands saved was a good return on my money.

Good luck.

I agree with these two above. I bought them about 2 years ago when I was on just starting my ppl, and they worked for me. They really concentrate on the psychological effects of the training, the industry, and highlight pitfalls to avoid etc.

All very useful stuff If you're determined to become a pro pilot.

I would therefore recommend them, I have only used the website once or twice but still review the books from time to time, so they are pretty good.

Ps: £28, they were £40 when I bought them!!

I also agree, I know a bit and didn't learn too much but it pulled it all together somewhat and it IS worth the money.

P.S. Has anyone tried the money making 'schemes' in the back? Call me a big ol' cynic but ......
