Does any one know if we will get these before 2003?

With it being Xmas and the CAA loving to send out everything as late as possible

Mine arrived yesterday (Saturday) I just had Perf and Principles of Flight to re-do. 89% in both which is a big relief since I was down to my fourth go! I was already happy before I opened the envelope since I couldn't feel an application form inside which would be offered for re-sits so I thought it might be nice news! I can now get my licence issued so I will be on the phone to the Belgrano tomorrow morning! Hopefully starting my FI rating on Christmas Eve!

A very nice Christmas present, even though it has arrived a few days early!

Finally is there any truth that you get a different envelope if you have passed? I got a envelope with blue print but on my unlucky occasions the envelope has had black print on it???

well done guys for getting the results you want, just hope you won't be looking like the other 500 plus cpl/ir/frozen' atpl ers that have very little chance of even getting to fly plastic dog...s...t out of hong kong.
It's rough out there, just a small reality check for you.
( I know I'll get slated by you for this but, I had to warn you)
Best of luck anyway.

Ballinthemiddle,

for once I have found a post on this site that is not only worthy of praise but one that inspires those of us who are still in the process of making good the atpl (exam). How dare you knock them down in their moment of glory with your wofefull *****. If oranges were ******s you would be a "Tropicana"!

Well done to those of you who made the grade

Ballinthemiddle,

the word dubbed starts WANKE followed by an R.

Ballinthemiddle

A true post but to be very honest I couldn’t care if there was 5000 CPL/IRs about. We all know what we have let ourselves in for. I am going to do my FI rating and to be very honest I will be very very chuffed at doing that. I for one will be very pleased at simply being able to hold a little blue book with my name on it! All in good time my friend!

Edited to say why fly plastic dog poo out of Hong Kong. Can't be too fussy in where you are based!!!

cunningplanmylord,

I think your criticism of Ballinthemiddle was over the top calling him a w----r! What he says is very true for most wannabes with new licences. It's a tough world out there and sometimes people don't want to hear the truth but a reality check is sometimes worthwhile! From your posts, it appears that you have yet to embark on professional flight training. When you've been through the mill or at least part of it, you will know what I mean.

I remember the feeling when I passed all my exams almost a year ago - a definite achievement and one to be proud of!

Mister Geezer,

You've got it about right, although I'm sure you didn't mean your first line seriously! Can you do the CPL test without passing all the exams and then wait for licence issue until you've passed them?

Mmm 5000 CPL/IRs would make things interesting but I was just trying to highlight the fact that most of us are aware of what lies ahead and that you can't let recessions and a potential Iraq bust up get you down! The sunny days of pilot shortages will be back to visit us at some point. When that will happen is a very good question!

The rules for exams are a bit different for integrated courses. With hardly any gaps during the course, it is quite tough to slot in any re-sits and have enough time to revise with other exams as well as the flying side of things zooming at you at a rate of knots!
