What he says is very true for most wannabes with new licences. It's a tough world out there and sometimes people don't want to hear the truth but a reality check is sometimes worthwhile! From your posts, it appears that you have yet to embark on professional flight training. When you've been through the mill or at least part of it, you will know what I mean.
I remember the feeling when I passed all my exams almost a year ago - a definite achievement and one to be proud of!

You've got it about right, although I'm sure you didn't mean your first line seriously!
Can you do the CPL test without passing all the exams and then wait for licence issue until you've passed them?
