Post Practice Test

I found this site and imagine it is the sort of thing the airlines make you do to assess your aptitude. I hope it is of some use to all those going for tests. Perhaps some pilots would even like to post their scores, not for the purpose of competition, but rather to let us wannabes see what we should be getting!

Not sure it is the kinda thing they use but I scored 112 which I don't think is too bad!
I was a bit thrown as to what was going on for the first few though, I would do better if I did it again.

spikyt,

Surely by the very nature of your last comment these tests are a waste of time. Personaly, I think they are all a load of rubish. All they prove is that you can answer the 40 or so questions in whatever way some one thinks they should be answered. Not sure that at the end of it someones IQ can be generated.

Beware

PS

(before anyone gets the flame thrower out, my score was 121)

I have heard that some of the verbal reasoning tests and other tests given in Airline and military apptitude tests do bare a resemblance to the ones given in that website. However, I have not yet sat any of these tests at an apptitude test because I have never been to one!

P.S My score was 117

Some of the questions are ones you might find but others are way off. You would be better doing a search as it has been covered may times before. I think the company who do a lot of them are SHL.

121 not too shabby a score for me.

I too scored 121

Does that mean I'm marginally more intelligent than a goat?

Seeing as everyone got exactly the same result, same for me btw.

Are they honestly saying that we got the exact number of questions right, because I personally think that is unlikely.

My score was 112. There were a few that had me puzzled for awhile!

Well, looks like spikyt and myself are the dumbest (no offence spikyt) here with the score of 112. My excuse is that I didn't use a calculator! ;-)

Simon

Can anyone tell me what number John didn't like and why (question 7), or what the anagram of ANLDEGN was? I'm bollocksed if I know

L S & S W,

Let's look again @ the question :
John likes 400 but not 300; he likes 100 but not 99; he likes 2500 but not 2400. Which does he like:
900
1000
1100
1200

Well 400, 100 & 2500 are all perfect squares (of 20, 10 & 50). The only perfect square in the answers is 900 (30 x 30) !!

120. Not bad I guess. Though the test score varies wildly depending on whether or not the test is conducted under strict timed conditions or not.

120 scored
I dont know if they are looking to catch you out or weather you should pick the blindingly obvious( bit like jar atpl theory exams ) so the result means little and anyway , what was it out of ?
