EGPFlyer,
I stayed twice - Jarvis - (looks like a castle!) - expensive but plush!
Also stayed at the IBIS - very uncomfortable bed but cheap.
Personally if I had the opportuniy to do it again (BA change your age limit please) I would pay the extra money and go for the Jarvis

I've stayed at the Jarvis a couple of times. Each time it was only £40 and I got breakfast the last time (January), although eating it was difficult with the nerves! I think they were weekend rates though as they were Sundays.
It's only a 10 minute walk to Cranebank too, the nearest hotel you can get.
