Question Building hours - Aircraft Lease??

I have been looking into building hours and the options. I rang a business that leases aircraft and he offered me an aircraft (PA 38 Thomahawk) for £34 a month plus an hourly charge so long as I fly at least 30 hours a month!!!!
Does anyone know whether this way to hour build is an option or not???? I dont know enough about it and am trying to find out as much as I can.

Yes, of course it's an option.

Things you should factor in are the cost of keeping the aeroplane somewhere, putting fuel in it (I presume that's not covered), and what penalty he's going to charge you when the weather's bad and you don't do your 30 hours that month.
I once tried to convince someone to lease a plane to me and, when I didn't fly the minimum number of hours, to charge me the profit he'd lost rather than the full flying rate for the hours missing. He thought that was a very novel idea but perhaps it was too simple for him 'cos I don't think he really understood it. I've never understood why that sort of idea isn't commonplace, including when renting for a minimum flying requirement per day.

Your costs of keeping the plane somewhere will be divided if you can get some other people to join you in your scheme.

30 hours a month will take some doing. I'm in a group of 8, and we don't do that collectivly.

My record is 300 hours in a year, and that was flying at EVERY opportunity going. Aint easy or cheap.

Another angle you need to get covered is the maintenance, not only the when (and not forgetting where), but if it goes in for an annual and there is a problem, what happens to your 30 hour requirement?
