Advert seen in the Independent education section 21.10.02
"Let your career take-off, become a professional pilot.
Get your professional training in accordance with JAR-FCL with North Eurpoean Aviation resources, Norway, in partnership with North American Institute of Aviation, USA.
Up to 2 years in the USA, with the possibilites for practical training, before completing training in Sandefjord, Norway. The training results in a JAR-FCL pilot license.
Where British Pilots have trained since 1972."
In all the time I've been in UK aviation, I've never heard of them. Anyone else?

AVCP,
North European Aviation Resources (NEAR) is the former Nordic Aviation Resources (NAR), but with new owners. The ad you`re referring to is a deal between NAR/NEAR and NAIA (North American Institute of Aviation) in South Carolina. This is where a lot of Scandinavians go to do their US flight training before coming home to convert.
There are a lot of Scandinavians there, or at least there were a few years back, as well as people from the UK. If you`re looking for a cheaper alternative to the European ab-initio schools, this would probably be your best bet.
The reason you probably haven`t heard of them is because their main markets are up north, but not exclusively. Ask anybody in the Nordic Forum and they`ll know what you`re talking about.
