Then there is BA, GECAT and FSBTI all located around London. CTC have an FTD or two. Reasonable price is another question. A Full Flight Simulator costs $11-13 million. What's a reasonable price.

I will explain what I am looking for.

I need to hire a Jet simulator that is in good working order for a couple of hours. I would be looking to pay up to £150 approx. P/h.

I have heard of a Trident sim based near Biggin but I don't know what condition it is in or even if it is still operational.

I believe you are looking to contact Mr Andy Mattocks, who has a Trident3b, full motion, night visual simulater in....a barn near Biggin hill. Last time I talked he still had it and was putting together a Buccaneer sim as well. When I last used it he wanted £50 an hour. So get two together and practice your CRM for only £25 an hour each.

He has an extensive database of airfields including Frankfurt for those who wish to practice their ATP stuff.

Not sure if it is still serviceable, as I last used it 2 years ago.

try and call him on 07883652109

Snoop - I can get you the rates for the sims at Bournemouth airport - there's a TriStar and a couple of others, we (my company) use them for corporate entertaining but they are pukka certified training sims - give me a shout at [email protected]

Cheers DT. Unfortunately the telephone number is no longer "recognised" So if anyone else has a number for this gentleman I would really appreciate it

Homer, no sim ride yet. Just living in hope that I might actually get something off the CV's I have just sent out. This way even if I hear nothing at least I get to have some fun and if someone does call me up I'll be ready!

Thanks Viggen

Talking

Snoop,

I would recommend doing the MCC if you haven't already done it. If you're looking for sim time, try European Air Charter in Bournemouth. They have 2 Tristars, a BAC1-11 and a B-727. I did my MCC on the 727, great fun!
Im not sure of the individual cost per hour though.

Regards,
Homer

I believe Raw Data has connections with the trident sim. Might be worth giving him an e-mail. You can find it on any thread re: British European!

Oxford have a 737 200 and 300 sim. Not sure of the rates.

Smile

You can book an hour in any of the BA sims at Cranebank for 200 notes.

Having had a go in the A320 sim yesterday, I can highly recommend it!

Unhappy

Snoop,

As has already been noted above. Despite flying a sophisticated full EICAS/EFIS aircraft myself I still hit the wrong keys.

Andy Mattocks is still working his sim at £50. Its great value and he's on 01883652109

Cheers.

So, apart from the not certified (and quite expensive) one in Harrogate, there is no other jet sim in the North???
