Type Rating - Beech 1900
I need a 1900 rating and was going to do it in the states but the security requirements mean that I cant do it there. Can anyone help me with finding somewhere else to do it. I have been offered a job and need a rating quick. Any advice would be greatful. Thanks TV

Mate, Turangi to the Carribbean.. you've done well..
Ad Astral Aviation out of Perth also do B1900 ratings, and I've heard they'll throw in co-pilot hours in too..

Something I've heard from a friend of mine also looking to do a B190 type is that Ross Air and Ad Astral are no longer doing the type rating. Don't know how true that is though! I suggest checking them out anyway. The only other suggestion I can give you is Canada but I don't know any names of companies that do the course.
Sorry I couldn't be of any further help.

JAA Beech 1900C Type Rating.....Where can I get one?
Hi All,
I have seen plenty of places where it is possible to get an FAA Beech 1900C Type Rating, but have not yet seen a JAA facility that offers this training.
Im just wandering, what training schools in Europe (Or beyond) offer B1900C Type Training? Is it possible to get a JAA Type Rating on the 1900C in australia?
I have seen operators such as Danish Air Transport and Naysa operating the aircraft, but have no idea where the pilots do the training.
Idealy, I am looking for a place where the majority of training is actually done flying the real thing, rather than simulator if thats possible.
Do the airlines that operate the 1900C train in house, and if so, do they train outsiders to fly the aircraft?
If possible, could anyone provide me with some web sites and/or email addresses for any training facilities?
Thanks in advance
GR

This is what I know; a type rating in USA is now impossible until they lift the '9-11' restriction ( it is now impossible for a non American national to get a type rating and as I understand it, that also goes for a green card holder.) The outfit in Perth Australia no longer do it, Rossair don't do it either although they might if you have a South African licence... best to contact them directly.
The only other suggestion I can make is Canada...check the forum because someone mentioned a place in Toronto on one of the threads. (Once again though, I think you need a Canadian licence.)
Re the JAA thing, no idea!
Hope this helps a little.

Remember that a 1900 rating is the same as for the King Air 350.... So perhaps you ought to look at a 300 Series provider.
Not usre but I think there is a TRTO in France that can do that.
Of course if I had the name that would be helpful but I am afraid I have forgotten. Something like Aerope or Aero Europe I think

You can get a BE-1900 rating at Luftfartsskolen in Denmark and they are JAA approved. This is the link to their website http://www.luftfartsskolen.dk ,but if you don’t understand Danish it won’t be much of use for you.
Otherwise give them a call +45-38 17 70 00.
I also think Finnair has a BE-350 simulator.

Rossair Holland does it Beech 1900 type exams with finair. There are a couple of operators in France (Air regional and I forgot the name of the other 1). I think they have their own flight sims for the 1900 or they are using the finair as well as I only saw their E120 crews at flight safety

Why don't you try giving Bristol Flying Centre a call (+44 (0)1275 474501/601). I believe they offer a SSTR on the B1900.

Ah, ok . It's me getting a little confused with Beech and Beechcraft, you're right they have a King Air.
